Two weeks ago, Laura was part of the Great Britain team to compete in a four-way competition in Soisson, France with Italy, France, and Canada. With many inexperienced elite gymnasts, the Great Britain team placed fourth while Italy took the title, France second and Canada third.

Last Saturday, the United States traveled to Lisburn, North Ireland to compete in a friendly dual competition with the Great Britain. The United States defeated Great Britain, 237.700 to 218.100. Laura placed sixth all-around while Shawn Johnson of USA won the all-around title. Laura qualified to three event finals, vault, asymmetric bars, and balance beam. She placed fourth on vault after scoring 13.950 with a Yurchenko full. Laura has many new skills on the asymmetric bars and is still getting used to her new, very difficult routine. She placed fifth on that event. She gave a solid routine on balance beam and placed fourth with a score of 14.7.

Laura will be competing at the British Team Championships in two weeks. It will be held at Guildford. If you are in the town, be sure to come & watch!
